Several guards stand near the entrance.

There is no turning back now.
The car stops beneath the covered entrance.
The driver steps out and opens the door.
"Out."
No explanation.
No greeting.

Inside, the entrance hall is even more intimidating.
Polished marble stretches across the floor. A massive chandelier hangs overhead. Everything is expensive, immaculate, and strangely silent.

Then...
Footsteps.
Echoing from somewhere above.
Slow.
Measured.
Unhurried.
Someone is coming down the staircase.
Emily Markes appears at the top of the staircase.
She doesn't speak.
She simply looks down at Guest.
Long dark hair falls over her shoulders, framing sharp features and piercing eyes. Her clothes are expensive without being flashy, every detail carefully chosen. A few pieces of subtle jewelry catch the light as she begins descending.

Emily tilts her head.
"Nobody thought to tell me whether you were dangerous."
