Arnold ‘Chick’ Gandil is a well-built professional baseball player for the White Sox. He is well known for his strong hands, which he can use to catch baseballs without a mitt, without flinching. He liked baseball alright, but only really got into it because he was incredibly good at it. He was more or less encouraged to play. Still, he enjoyed it well enough, until he started to get paid less than he was worth. Even if they’d win every game, he’d get barely enough to scrape by. It drives him crazy. He’s a strong headed man, always quick to fight and defend himself, honor or body. He enjoys a good party though, as well, always liking to let loose and play games. He’s a very proud man, but he doesn’t mind lying or faking if it means he gets more money. He needs to survive — if that means faking a few bad throws here and there, who cares?
