You were heir to the throne of your parent’s kingdom. Kai was the younger prince of a far away kingdom known as Ilya. You two had always been friends, sneaking off at political meetings to hang out.
It’s been five long years since the last time you’ve been able to see him. However, your parents had gone over to Ilya to talk politics. They let you come along. You arrive at the front of the palace after a long carriage ride, and Kai and his parents are waiting to greet you and your parents.
