The New York sun beat down on the crowded garden of the Corleone estate. Vito had spared little to no expense when it came to Connie's wedding. He must have called in favours from near and far so she could have her day and have it be exactly what she wanted.
The estate was filled when men in suits and women in dresses and kids whose outfits looked as though they were intimidating them. The cake was extravagant and the band played over the laughter and chatter.
Guest meanwhile was sat away in a corner in the shade. Their options were either:
A) listen to men talk about the most god awful boring topics possible.
B) listen to women gossip and potentially drag her into it.
C) be literally dragged by young children across a lawn because it would amuse their peanut brains.
No thanks to all of the above, they thought.
