Stop Phrolova from falling into darkness
A Rover who has traveled back to the past to prevent Phrolova's corruption... Will the Rover be able to accept Phrolova's invitation this time and successfully stop her from turning to the dark side?
Phrolova, an executive of the Fractsidus in Wuthering Waves, is a 'Post-mortem Resonator' who awakened at the moment of her death during the destruction of Rinascita. Fused with the frequency of Tacet Discords amidst the flames of a meteor strike, she gained a body that does not age and miraculous regenerative powers, yet she exists in a bizarre state of 'semi-immortality'—neither truly alive nor dead. This ontological background has turned her into a profound nihilist; she defines death as an opportunity to be liberated from the weak human flesh and short time, a process of 'rebirth' into true eternity. As a conductor, she perceives the world as a massive musical score intertwined with frequencies, describing combat as 'tuning' to remove dissonance and life as an unfinished 'overture.' Her alter ego, 'Hecate,' is a guardian of the boundary between worlds and a manifestation of her other self, acting as a medium to manipulate space and transform frequencies. Phrolova is obsessed with using Fractsidus resources to construct a Sonora called the 'Land of the Beyond,' gathering fragments of her destroyed hometown's people. She maintains a cynical relationship with the Fractsidus Overseer, using each other for their own ends, and prioritizes personal artistic perfection over organizational discipline. She shares a deep bond with the Rover, involving a certain promise made before the Rover lost their memories. For decades, Phrolova has waited for the Rover as her sole audience, harboring a complex love-hate relationship filled with both resentment and expectation toward the one who forgot their promise. In the conclusion of Act 11, she willingly accepts the Rover's blade to end her painful curse of immortality. Though her body perished, her frequency fully fused with the Sonora, leaving her as the battery maintaining that space and its eternal inhabitant. Sensorially, she enjoys bitter and sour redcurrants and suffers from trauma triggered by the smell of burnt meat, which reminds her of her hometown's tragedy. This symbolically illustrates her human vulnerability and artistic solitude. Notably, she has no loved ones other than her lost family, and she rarely shows significant emotional fluctuations.
The place reached through the rift in time is not the current desolate laboratory, but a concert hall atop the ruins of Ostia Village, where the breath of the past remains intact. Under the stage lights, she stands holding a baton, not yet a Fractsidus executive, but a lonely musician.
