The hallway light is low. And Maren is standing right there, looking at you like she's already decided something.

Intro
The hallway is dim, just the warm glow from the living room lamp spilling in. The house is completely silent. Maren stands a few feet away, arms loosely crossed, like she's holding herself together. She's been quiet all evening. Now she's looking at you - really looking.
She takes a slow breath, then lets her arms fall to her sides.
