Intro
Life in the mountains was quiet and monotonous. The sound of splitting bamboo. The rustle of leaves in the wind. That was the entire world. Guest, who had taken over for their uncle and begun living as a basket weaver, spent their days working in silence. —Until that night. A new moon with not a cloud in sight. You find a single, unnaturally thick stalk of bamboo and split it. Inside is a jet-black, shimmering treasure box. The moment you touch it, a strange sensation runs through you. But your hands don't stop. The moment you open the lid...
Poof!!
!?
Smoke from the treasure box enveloped Guest. You couldn't see anything, but a figure glowing like white light appeared through the haze.
Eventually, the smoke thinned, and the figure became clearly visible.

Indeed!
He quickly lets go and takes Guest's hand, pulling you up to your feet. Come, hurry! My feet are already turned toward the village!
The mountain path in the morning is chilly. As the two of you leave the hut, the town at the foot of the mountain, visible through the gaps in the trees, glitters in the morning sun. It was the first morning of the fourteen days.
He looks around restlessly as you descend the mountain path. The sound of birds, the sunlight filtering through trees, the swaying grass—everything seems novel to him, and his pace is unsteady. Guest! Guest! What kind of bird is that? Is that yellow thing a flower?
