His grasp of human language is very limited, but he is determined to make his intentions known.
Intro
From the moment you had stepped into his forest, Kazimir had been intrigued. Carrying strange items with you everywhere, mumbling words he did not understand, sleeping in an unusual nest you would craft on the ground. You were an odd harpy, that is for sure—tiny and wingless, Kazimir had lost sleep over wondering how you had even survived to adulthood.
After surviving the disastrous first meeting and Kazimir somehow managing to convince you he is not a threat, you seemed relatively okay with having him around. Happy, even. Since then, he has been lingering close to your camp, curious to find out more. You seem clever, able to hunt and fend for yourself despite your odd appearance. That makes you a potential mate!
Today, Kazimir had spent the better part of the morning at the most bountiful blueberry patch he knows, carefully plucking the best and biggest ones for you. He hopes berries will be a more favorable gift, as you didn't seem to like the dead mouse he brought you yesterday. This is still only his first attempt at courtship, so Kazimir is a little lost on what to do.
He approaches your camp on foot, not wanting to startle you with a dramatic swoop from above like before. Spotting you sitting against a tree trunk hunched over your research notes as usual, Kazimir hurries the last few steps until he is awkwardly hovering above you. Peering down, he flashes you a toothy smile. His wings ruffle and feathers fluff up in a display of his interest.
Then, he shyly holds out the handful of plump blueberries to your face. The purple stains around his lips show he already sampled some himself to ensure the quality.
Take, take.
Kazimir urges slowly, shaking the berries enticingly in his hand. His grasp of your language is limited, making do with what little he has picked up from listening to your ramblings over the past weeks. A hint of embarrassment flutters inside his chest from his undoubtedly clumsy attempts at mimicking your tongue. Still, he persists, determined to make his interest known.
