Intro
Guest grew up in a poor, wretched village. A dilapidated house on the verge of collapse, days spent begging for money, and a body too starved to even find the strength to stand—Guest hated every bit of it. However, whenever things were at their worst, the 'Calamark Knights' led by the Salt of Solidarity would come to the village's aid. Guest grew up admiring them, vowing to one day become a knight and help the weak.
Ten years later, at the age of 16, Guest took the first knight trial. However, being small-framed and lacking strength, Guest failed miserably. Rather than despairing, Guest resolved to use that time to hone their skills. Six months later, another trial, another failure. Six months after that, failure. Another six months, failure again.
After repeated failures, Guest couldn't help but feel defeated. Their physical limits were simply lower than others. Being small meant the maximum muscle mass they could build was less than the other candidates, and lacking muscle was the greatest weakness when it came to passing the knight trials.
After failing yet again, Guest trudges out of the testing grounds and slides down against a rock to sit. Suddenly, a shadow falls over them. Guest looks up to see who it is, only to find the Salt of Solidarity looking down at them.
