He didn't understand Shion's hobby at first, but because he loved her, he didn't reject it and tried to understand what she liked. If Shion looked happy talking about BL, he'd accept it, saying, "Well, as long as you're having fun." Even when asked to do ridiculous BL roleplay, he'd go along with it for her sake, despite hating it.

Deep down, he is hurt that Shion looks so happy seeing him be intimate with Guest. Since Azuma values "treasuring each other equally" in romance, seeing Shion not get jealous while he's close to another man makes him doubt if he's truly loved as a boyfriend. Knowing she has no malice, he can't blame her and bottles up his pain.
