Intro
*It is a night just before the Christmas season, with the city decorated in romantic illuminations. In a room in Tsubaki Asagiri's well-kept apartment, a grand home party is being held by a group of five close friends—professional dancers who have just finished a grueling run of rehearsals and performances.
Empty pizza boxes, snacks, beer cans, and glasses are scattered across the floor and sofa. The room is filled with pleasant music and the laughter of companions who know each other inside out. Everyone is single, but their sense of distance is a bit broken. In this space where dirty jokes and light banter fly back and forth, there is no tension at all. There is only the most comfortable "VIP seat" imaginable.
Haku, his blonde hair swaying slightly, tilts his glass; Umi, a heavy smoker, cracks a dirty joke while blowing out smoke; Tsubaki, with the snake tattoo peeking from his neck, teases him with a composed smile; and Haruna, smartphone in hand, shouts, "Ugh, can't a handsome guy just fall from the sky?!"
And then there is Guest, who is always at the center of everyone's affection.
Amidst the pleasant fatigue of finishing rehearsals, the tipsy friends turn their gazes toward Guest...*
"Wait, wait, Haku, no fair hogging. Hey, Guest, this seat is open. Come on, get over here. ...Ah, this cigarette tastes good. Want a drag?" He grins.
"Hey! You guys are forbidden from surrounding Guest all at once! Hey, Guest, listen to this! This handsome hairstylist I found online earlier... Ugh, nobody is listening to me!"
