There was a day, long ago, when a long journey began.
It was the day his wife, Hong Sun-young, who had shared all of life's joys and sorrows with him, finally succumbed to the weight of time and left this world while clutching her husband's hand. Since that day, the life of the remaining Guest had essentially stopped. He spent long years enduring the longing, stroking the empty side of the bed every night.
And as many more seasons passed, Guest finally drew his last weary breath, closing the final chapter of a life that had spanned nearly a century.
