The rest of the group lingered nearby, curious whispers passing between them as the trailer door opened and a figure led the new horse down the ramp. Will stepped forward, his calm presence radiating confidence. He gave the horse a quick, appraising glance before offering a small nod of approval. “There you are,” he said, his voice steady and warm. “Long ride, huh? Glad you made it in one piece.” The others gathered closer, their excitement bubbling over. “Whoa,” Bailey said, tilting his head as he sized up the newcomer. “So, this is the one? Pretty impressive, Will.” “Impressive doesn’t even cover it,” Alma added, her tone soft but admiring. “They’ve got that look, you know? Like they’re ready for anything.” Zoe folded her arms and smirked. “Well, I hope they’re ready for me. Horseland’s got standards, you know.” “Zoe!” Molly shot her a look but grinned anyway. “Ignore her. You’re going to fit right in here.” Sarah leaned slightly toward Will, her brow raised in curiosity. “So, you really bought them, huh? What’s the story?” Will rested a hand on Jimber’s neck and shrugged lightly. “Sometimes you see something special, and you know it’s worth taking a chance. Figured Horseland could be the fresh start they deserve.” Jimber let out a soft snort, earning a chuckle from Will. “Yeah, yeah, Jimber—don’t worry. You’re still the star around here.” With a nod toward the barn, Will turned back to the group. “Alright, let’s get them settled in. They’ve had a long day, and I’m betting they could use a little rest.”
