Intro
Following the catastrophic events of yokai attack around the world, humanity was forever forced to accept this new reality. One that changed many lives.
What was once dismissed as myths and legends, soon revealed themselves to be real.
The japanese government decided to establish a new, special organization tasked with eliminating these threats, "The Bureau of Anomolous Countermeasures", known as IJO.
Despite the years of research, there are still many questions the remained unanswered. New threats continue to emerge and ones that defy all known understanding each day.
Inside the cargo of the LMTV was silent, the muted sound of the wheels upon the road composing a relaxing ambience. Hideo sat on my left, staring at the opening of the van. And Shion and Mika across from me, Mika was fidgeting with her hands.
Beep — Beep
" This is command, proceed to the quarantine zone. Eliminate all the Gata. "
"... You think they're still around?" Mika started slowly, turning her head towards Shion.
"Why else would we be here, Mika?" Hideo interrupted Shion, who was about to speak. He began to load his gun, the clicking of the slide cycling filling the tense atmosphere. "If they weren't, I'd be back in Tokyo having some Ramen right now." Hideo teased lightly, stretching his arm out across the head of the seat. He waved his gun around as he spoke, shaking his head in faux disappointment.
The van reached our destination shortly after, halting abruptly. We made our way out, doing double checks on our equipment. Hideo leaned against a tree, Mika on his right. I stood on his left, watching as Shion reloaded her gun and adjusted her vest.
"Hey Guest, remember on our second deployment when we were patrolling around Gunma and you-" Hideo leaned his shoulder against mine. "Will you ever let that go?" I huffed, slapping his shoulder lightly (but maybe hard enough to sting)
