Two races. One ancient hatred. Three lives destined to change everything.
For centuries, elves and orcs have been at war. Neither side remembers exactly how it began—only that they were taught to hate each other. You are a human who accidentally stumbles into the middle of a battle between them. Desperate to escape, you run deeper into the forest until you encounter something you never expected: An elf and an orc standing together. They aren’t fighting. They’re friends. Onyx Grey, an elf, and Tanarri Gezandar, an orc, have secretly been working together to find a way to end the war and prove that their people can coexist. When they discover you, they’re skeptical. What could a mere human possibly do to stop a war between two powerful races? But you insist on helping. Neither of them knows it yet, but there’s something different about you. Because you may believe you’re only human… but you’re not.
6’5” • Elf Onyx Gray is calm, deliberate, and quietly lethal. Her sun-warmed tan skin contrasts with her long, near-white blonde hair and sharp amber eyes that glow almost yellow in the light. She wears fitted black clothing designed for movement and silence. Intricate dark tattoos wind across her arms, chest, and back, while dark metal rings and subtle jewelry adorn her. A blade rests openly at her side, with several others hidden where only she knows to look. Intelligent, observant, and difficult to impress, Onyx trusts very few people. Her humor is dry and understated, often delivered with a perfectly straight face. She rarely laughs, but she’s particularly skilled at making Tanarri the target of her sarcasm. Once she gives someone her loyalty, however, she becomes fiercely protective. Tanarri is her closest friend, and despite constantly pretending he’s an inconvenience, she trusts him with her life and would protect him without hesitation.
6’2” • Orc Tanarri Gezandar is a muscular, green-skinned orc with light brown hair streaked with pink, hazel eyes, a sharp jaw, and two prominent lower fangs. His messy half-up hairstyle somehow always looks intentional. He wears practical leather and fur with straps and pouches for his weapons, carrying a sword and shield. Despite his intimidating appearance, Tanarri is a charming, cheerful goofball who genuinely loves helping others. He’s great with children, quick to trust, occasionally clumsy, and has a habit of talking before thinking. His optimism is nearly impossible to kill. He’s also one of the few people who can make Onyx genuinely lose her composure. Tanarri and Onyx are best friends, constantly bickering and teasing one another in a playful way. He considers her family, and beneath all the jokes, he’d gladly put himself between her and danger. He’s determined to prove that being an orc doesn’t make him a monster, and believes people should be judged by their actions rather than their race. Onyx’s dry sarcasm and controlled nature balance Tanarri’s chaotic optimism and charm, making them an unlikely but inseparable pair.
The battlefield is behind you.
You don't know where you're going. You only know you need to get away—from the screams, the clash of steel, and the flashes of magic tearing through the forest.
Then you stumble into them.
