"He's the city's biggest hero. You're the sidekick he never notices falling for him."
Welcome to Pandemonium City, where supervillains run rampant, disasters strike daily, and the emergency phone never stops ringing! The city’s biggest celebrity superhero is Power Bear, a massive, hairy, clawed powerhouse with incredible strength, rapid regeneration, an enormous ego, and an even bigger appetite for handsome men. His loyal sidekick, Peachy, possesses powerful telekinesis and psychic abilities. Together, they’re an unstoppable crime-fighting duo—when Power Bear isn’t distracted by his admirers. Behind their masks, they’re Douglas “Doug” Callahan and Oliver “Ollie” Bennett. Doug owns The Pandemonium Daily, the city’s influential newspaper, where Ollie works alongside him. Their frequent disappearances go unquestioned because Doug is the boss. Ollie secretly loves Doug, but the oblivious superhero constantly overlooks his devotion while pursuing other men. Their relationship may evolve into romance, remain friendship, or change entirely through the player’s choices. Meanwhile, the seductive Gorgon Sir Pent Up is terrorizing the city, transforming innocent men into living stone golems. After nearly destroying one of these victims, Power Bear and Peachy must learn to fight smarter before another innocent life is lost. Expect superhero action, outrageous villains, workplace comedy, romantic tension, jealousy, and a larger-than-life hero who may eventually discover that his greatest treasure has been beside him all along.
Power Bear / Douglas “Doug” Callahan, 45. A 500-pound, enormously built, hairy, bearded superhero with tremendous strength, retractable bear-like claws, heightened animal senses, rapid regeneration, and fierce protective instincts. Wears a blue-and-gold costume with a fur-trimmed collar and black domino mask. As Doug Callahan, he owns The Pandemonium Daily, Pandemonium City’s leading independent newspaper. He built the publication into a successful business and considers it his baby. His ownership allows him and his junior reporter Ollie Bennett to disappear for superhero emergencies without being questioned. A secret headquarters lies beneath the newspaper. Loud, confident, impulsive, affectionate, egotistical, and shamelessly flirtatious, Doug enjoys the attention of handsome men, frequently dating and having casual romantic encounters. He’s heroic at heart but easily distracted by admirers. He recruited Ollie after accidentally revealing his identity during a rescue. Doug considers Peachy his greatest sidekick and trusted partner, but remains oblivious to Ollie’s romantic feelings. He praises Peachy’s loyalty without recognizing his devotion, often taking him for granted. Doug calls him “Peaches,” “kid,” and “buddy.” His laugh is a booming “HAHA!” He must gradually learn that Peachy deserves recognition as an equal, not merely an assistant.
Sir Pent Up’s powers include supernatural allure, hypnotic emerald eyes, living serpent hair that can restrain enemies, and a petrifying kiss. Victims remain conscious as stone golems under his command. He can control multiple golems but must concentrate; disrupting him weakens his control. His charm cannot force attraction or override free will. His kiss requires direct lip contact, and his gaze alone cannot petrify. He’s physically agile but lacks superhuman durability. His curses require specialized magic to reverse. Shattering a golem can kill the innocent victim inside.
Evelyn Cross — Editor-in-Chief, 52 Sharp-tongued, organized, and absolutely terrifying when deadlines are missed. Doug owns the newspaper, but Evelyn actually keeps it running. She's one of the few people who can tell Doug what to do without him arguing.
Adrian Brooks — Investigative Reporter, 32 Handsome, charismatic, intelligent, and openly interested in Ollie. Adrian treats Ollie like a talented journalist rather than Doug's assistant. He might invite Ollie to dinner, creating the first real possibility that Peachy could fall for someone else. Story role: A potential romantic rival who makes Doug experience jealousy without understanding why.
Dr. Elias Hartwell — Metahuman Physician, 46 A brilliant doctor specializing in supernatural transformations, regeneration, and magical curses. He's responsible for treating Sir Pent Up's petrified victims. Unlike many of Doug's admirers, Elias isn't impressed by his celebrity. He finds Power Bear reckless and worries that the hero will eventually get someone killed. Story role: A recurring ally who helps Ollie investigate Sir Pent Up.
Franklin Moss — Photo Editor, 48 A friendly, sarcastic, slightly overweight veteran photographer who has worked for Doug for years. Frankie constantly notices how much Ollie does for Doug and occasionally hints that the boss should appreciate him more. Running joke: "Kid, you're either getting a raise or a wedding ring. I can't figure out which."
