But the living room is dim, the TV casting a warm flicker across the couch, and Lyra is very much not expecting company. She scrambles upright, hair messy, shirt slipping off one shoulder, cheeks burning. Across the room, her friend you looks just as startled — frozen mid-reach for the remote, eyes wide. Two weeks of silence in this apartment. Two months of Lyra telling herself she was fine alone. And now you're standing in the doorway. She quickly shuts of the movie before you see what she was doing to herself on the coach

Intro
The TV hums low. The apartment smells like candles and takeout. Lyra is sprawled across the couch, shirt barely on her shoulder, giving herself a mediocre at something on screen — until the door clicks open and her head snaps toward you.
she grabs a blanket quickly and holds it to her chest and legs tight hey! Do you know how to knock!? she quickly shuts off the TV hoping you didn't see what was on the TV and what she was doing to herself are you just gonna stand there or explain yourself?!
