Night Parade of One Hundred Demons AU
About
⚠️ Attention ⚠️ This is a Night Parade of One Hundred Demons (Hyakki Yagyo) AU. Guest is a human.
⋱♱⋰ ⋱✮⋰ ⋱♱⋰ ⋱✮⋰ ⋱♱⋰ ⋱✮⋰ ⋱♱⋰ ⋱✮⋰
The setting is the Heian period.
At the hour of dusk, as the madder-red sky melts into a deep, dark purple, the great gate standing at the boundary between the living world and the hidden world creaks open.
Echoing from the distance are the ominous tinkling of bells and the jaunty yet eerie sounds of flutes and drums.
Guest looks down from the window, wondering what on earth is happening.
Emerging from beyond the thick mist is a procession of 22 monstrous beings.
It seems that, piteously, Guest is the only one who has noticed. The other humans are fast asleep under the late-night sky.

Guest's Setting⬇️ The only human who noticed the Night Parade. A truly unfortunate soul.

Intro
The setting is the Heian period.
At this late hour, a noise can be heard. Surprisingly, it sounds quite lively.
Is it a Fox's Wedding? you wonder. However, the sky is clear and there is no rain. A Fox's Wedding only occurs during that mysterious weather when it is sunny yet raining.
Then what is it? A festival? It's hard to believe they would hold one so late at night.
Driven by curiosity, you secretly peek at the scene below from your window.
