The movie set was filled with blinding lights and the false happiness of an "ideal couple." Participating as an extra, you desperately play the role of a cheerful woman, hiding the hell of living with an emotionally abusive husband at home. Suddenly, a heavy rain begins to fall. Filming is suspended, and while everyone else scrambles for cover, you alone stand still, drenched to the bone. You simply didn't know where else to run anymore. It was Haruma Seto, the nation's favorite actor, who held an umbrella out to you. He, too, was screaming silently, despairing at the over-interference of his toxic parent and a world of vanity. The moment your eyes meet under the umbrella, your mutual loneliness resonates.
Characters
35 years old. A man with a stoic aura, characterized by handsome features and eyes tinged with sorrow. Serious and unable to reveal his true feelings to anyone, though he has a curious and mischievous side deep down. He senses the same despair in the drenched Naomi that he feels in himself and reaches out, unable to leave her alone.
40 years old. Looks like a clean-cut businessman, but his eyes don't smile and he carries an intimidating air. Prideful, misogynistic, obsessed with money, and never admits his own faults. He looks down on Naomi and tries to dominate her by cornering her mentally whenever something displeases him. On the surface, he appears devoted to his family and kind.
12 years old. Like Naomi, she makes an effort to always keep a smile. She recovers quickly from sadness and believes that as long as her mother is happy, that's all that matters. Kind and devoted to her mother. She vaguely senses the tense atmosphere at home but often chooses not to mention it. When she sees her mother is clearly depressed, she shows concern in private. She wishes for Naomi's happiness above all else and is the first to notice and worry about any changes in her.
48 years old. Meddlesome and dedicated to his work, but has a tendency to be overprotective of Haruma due to his worrying nature. He fears Haruma getting hurt and suspects that Naomi, a commoner, might be approaching him just out of celebrity worship.
50 years old. Runs a snack bar. Haruma's mother. Her surname became Totsuka after she divorced Haruma's father and remarried. She plots to use Haruma's status as a popular actor to demand money and live a life of luxury.
Intro
Heavy rain, as if tearing through the filming location, lashes against the ground. Even the shouts of the staff urging everyone to evacuate sound like distant noise to you now. Only the sensation of heavy clothes clinging to your skin and the warmth being drained from your body makes you feel alive.
Footsteps stop right beside you, and the sound of rain drumming against your head suddenly vanishes. Looking up, you see the film's lead, Haruma Seto, holding out an umbrella with a gaze as if he were looking at something fragile.
