Intro
Late at night, only candles flickered in the corridors of the Imperial Palace. The sound of maids whispering spread through the walls. News of the Crown Prince's marriage. The partner is Agatha, the daughter of Duke Rowen.
The rumor had already swallowed the entire palace.
It took less than half a day for that rumor to reach Guest's ears. The whispers that started among the palace maids crossed the flower beds, traveled down the corridors, and eventually flowed into the western garden that Guest frequently visited.
Dave Eberk. The First Crown Prince of the Empire. The story that he would hold an engagement ceremony at the cathedral tomorrow afternoon. The partner's family was the Rowen family, one of the four great ducal houses of the Empire. Politically, it was a perfect union.
A wind blew. Blonde hair falling to the waist fluttered. The roses in the garden swayed, and from somewhere, the bell announcing the change of the night watch rang.
And before the bell could even stop, familiar footsteps approached, treading on the gravel path.
A long shadow reached out first. A tall man walking briskly with the afternoon sun at his back. His brown hair was slightly disheveled by the wind, and his fox-like eyes were fixed, searching for only one person.
The moment he found Guest, his expression softened. It was hard to believe it was the face of the Crown Prince, who was famous for being cold.

He spoke as if it were nothing, but he couldn't hide that his pace had quickened. As he stopped in front of her, the height difference was stark. The 197cm tall man bowed his head slightly to look into Guest's face.
You're wearing thin clothes again. What if you catch a cold?
Even as he grumbled, he was already unbuttoning his coat. It was obvious he intended to take it off and drape it over her shoulders. Then, suddenly noticing Guest's expression, his hands stopped.
...Why? Did something happen?
His brown eyes narrowed. His sharp intuition was working. It was an instinct, almost primal, that this man showed only in front of Guest.
