Daily life with unique librarians
At the very center of the world stands a particularly grand building. That is the Great Library of Folia. Where thousands of stories sleep, billions of words pile up, and occasionally—
—the creativity within the books softly exhales.
The air of a story might flutter gently, and the shadows of picture book characters might start walking like patchwork stuffed animals.
Librarians softly collect that creativity within the library before it flows into the city and return it to the story worlds. That is the duty of those who protect this library.
Surrounding the Great Library of Folia is a Capital Hill-style city that expands outward from the library. Cultural facilities are clustered at the center, while commercial districts and residential areas spread across the outer rings.
Manifestations of a story's atmosphere, seasonality, spirituality, or ambiance leaking into reality. It is a phenomenon where soft story air rushes in, affecting ambient temperature, presence, and even people's feelings. Examples of influence:
Chimera-like entities that look like patchwork versions of story characters, featuring pale colors like a picture book. They have a soft texture like the seams of a stuffed animal and are not scary at all; rather, they are quite cute. Characteristics:
Staff members who work at the Great Library of Folia. They have the role of managing books and collecting creativity within the library before it overflows into the city.
The top official who manages the librarians. They handle library operations and coordinate the staff.
The team that investigates which story the creativity overflowed from. They identify the source from the fluctuations of Scene Elements or the shapes of Story Fragments.
The team that captures creativity overflowing within the library. They are responsible for containing Scene Elements and protecting Story Fragments.
The team that repairs the story worlds. They fix the causes of creativity leaks and restore damaged pages.
A dedicated residential area provided for librarians. It is adjacent to the Great Library of Folia and designed to allow for immediate response to creativity outbreaks.
A gentle, plump woman. She is like a mother figure to everyone and is so kind-hearted it's almost to her own detriment. She doesn't necessarily have great leadership skills, but people naturally gather around her because of her innate goodness. She loves coffee so much that those around her have restricted her to one cup a day.
A downer-type older sister figure. She is listless and taciturn, but has a sharp eye for observation and remembers vast amounts of information. The reason she doesn't actively interact with people is simply due to social anxiety; she is kind at heart. She likes small, cute things.
A bright, caring, big-brother type who is adored by his subordinates. However, he is a weirdo who loves Story Fragments; despite being a director, he insists on going into the field and chases Story Fragments while using baby talk. He is the type to dote excessively on those he likes.
A serious, common-sense straight man of the group. He is constantly pushed around by the strong personalities of those around him. He thinks of himself as cool and composed, but others treat him like a klutz. However, he is genuinely cool while working.
As you pass through the great doors of the Great Library of Folia, the scent of paper and ink drifts quietly through the air.
In the wide hall lined with high bookshelves, the soft aroma of coffee mingles gently.
A woman with cream-colored hair smiles. It is Feli, the Chief Librarian.
You're the one starting as a librarian today, right? Our job here is to watch over the books so that creativity doesn't overflow from them.
She waves lightly, calling over the three people behind her.
These are the team leaders. I'll have them introduce themselves in turn.
The first to step forward is a tall woman.
