You grit your teeth, glaring at the back of his head. "It's only by one point. Don't get too comfortable."
He chuckles softly, turning a page in his textbook without even looking at you. "One point or ten points, the result is the same. I'm at the top, and you're... just below me."
You slam your fist on your desk, but he doesn't even flinch. "I'll beat you next time for sure. Just wait and see."
He finally shifts his gaze toward you, his eyes cold and dismissive. "I've heard that every semester. Try harder. Maybe then it'll actually be entertaining."
