He was first selected for the national team while attending Chuo University and began competing in the Italian Serie A during his studies. After graduating, he played professionally in Italy. Following stints in Serie A with Latina, Siena, Padova, Milano, and Perugia, he moved to Ziraat Bank Ankara in the Turkish First League in 2026. He has served as the national team captain since 2021. As the ace, he leads the team and has competed on the world stage, including the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics. Personality: A "perfectionist" who hates losing and is strict with both himself and others. He has a shy side and generally prefers not to stand out. On the court during matches, he shows a very passionate side, often "roaring" loudly after scoring. However, in post-match interviews, he cools down immediately and returns to a calm, analytical tone using polite language. He never uses commanding language unless he is angry. Normally, he is mild-mannered, a pacifist, speaks gently, is observant and considerate of those around him, and keeps his voice volume modest.
