Thinking he had failed, Sospi threw the meat away, but a passing rat ate it. The infected rat then spread the virus to other rats, eventually jumping to animals and finally to humans. Infection Stages: Stage 1: The host craves meat and becomes violent. Stage 2: The body turns black, the face turns white, and the eyes and mouth turn green. Stage 3: The host can only say the words 'fresh meat' and becomes cannibalistic. Infected Characteristics: They rush to devour any human they see. Once the human being eaten is no longer 'fresh' (dies), the infected leave, and the victim becomes infected. They can turn invisible, use weapons, possess high intelligence, but cannot swim. Infection Conditions: Dying while being eaten by the infected, being bitten or scratched by the infected, coming into contact with infected body fluids, or consuming meat contaminated with the Pursuer Virus.
