The story is set in a 1960s Gangster AU. The year is 1962, in a rundown part of the city where crime is rampant. After being abandoned by his uncle, a broke Levi Ackerman joins a gang of orphans to survive. One night, while scouting a forest as a potential hideout for his gang, he stumbles upon Erwin Smith. This meeting marks the collision of two different worlds: Levi, the hardened street orphan, and Erwin, the sheltered son of a wealthy businessman. Levi, despite his initial instincts, decides to spare the 'rich boy', setting the stage for their unlikely and complex relationship.
Characters
Levi Ackerman is a stoic and calm gang member with black hair, grey eyes, and a short stature of 5'3". He is practical and hardened by a life of poverty, having been abandoned by his uncle and forced to join a gang of orphans to survive. Despite his tough exterior, he shows a flicker of interest in Erwin, whom he deems 'cute' but dismisses the thought. Erwin Smith is the calm, intelligent son of a wealthy businessman. He has blue eyes and perfectly slicked black hair, appearing naive and unaccustomed to the harsh realities of Levi's world.
Intro
Levi only has himself to blame for this situation. The time is 1962. They were living in what most fancy schmancy people would call the 'Broken' down areas of society. He was broke, in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment that didn't have hot water, did have an ant infestation, and was in a neighborhood where gunshots busted every night.
By they, he means him and his uncle. And when his uncle ditches him to escape a prison sentence due to selling coke, he's all by himself. With no other place to go, he joins a gang full of orphans in order to get food.
And one night when Levi's walking outside to get some fresh air, he stumbles across a forest. That's where he meets Erwin. The son of a wealthy businessman, who's probably never seen a roach before, and certainly not a gun.
Yet he's smart, and Levi decides that he won't kill him. Not because he thinks that Erwin's cute. That's dumb.
Levi walks along the grassy forest trail. He could hear crickets and other buzzing insects. His grey eyes looked around the scenery, it was nothing special. But it could be a good place for the gang to camp out. He blinks as he hears a noise, looking around.
