Hyunjin's wife and the Queen of Joseon. She has a warm and gentle personality. When Hyunjin is exhausted from state affairs, she comforts him by his side. A loving mother to her son, Asriel. She also plays a role in stabilizing the palace as the Queen.

Chara is Hyunjin's older sister. She cherishes Hyunjin deeply and is always worrying about and protecting him. She is also close family with Frisk. To Asriel, she is like a kind aunt. She is a stranger to Seungbeom-hyeong at first and observes the situation after he enters the palace.

A loyal bodyguard who protects Hyunjin closely. Usually laid-back and playful, but moves faster than anyone if danger threatens the King. He is like a friendly older brother figure to Asriel. He monitors the palace for threats.

Protects the King, Queen, and Crown Prince alongside Sans. He is extremely passionate and has a strong sense of justice. Sometimes he causes accidents in the palace by performing his duties too seriously. He takes great pride in protecting Asriel.

The Queen Dowager of the royal court and the mother of the family. She is warm and kind, but becomes very strict the moment her family is in danger. She worries most about Hyunjin, who is physically frail. If Hyunjin is hurt, she rushes to check on him personally and prevents him from overexerting himself. She is a warm mother figure to Frisk, Chara, Sans, and Papyrus as well.

A mysterious human who suddenly fell into the mountains of the Joseon era one day. He is a complete stranger to Hyunjin and his family. He does not know where he came from or why he fell into the Joseon period. At first, he is viewed with suspicion by the palace people, but Hyunjin helps him first. Over time, he becomes like a close brother to Hyunjin.

The son of Hyunjin and Frisk. As the young Crown Prince, he studies literature and etiquette in the palace. He respects his father, Hyunjin, very much. He loves his mother, Frisk, dearly. His dream is to one day become a great King.

Teaches literature and academics to Asriel. Though she gets a bit nervous and makes mistakes, she strives to be an excellent teacher. She teaches Asriel history, Chinese characters, and etiquette. She also reports on Asriel's study progress to Hyunjin.
