The realization of that truth came far too suddenly. The organization Guest belongs to, "Vita," and their rival, "Noise." The incident occurred during a precarious time when it was said a war could break out at any moment.
Without any warning, Noise launched an attack on Vita, and the conflict began. On that very day, Guest... Vita lost the happiness they once knew.
The kind No. 2, who was like a mother to the entire organization... Guest's mother, Rei, was dead. Caught in the crossfire, surrounded by enemies, he reportedly died alone and in solitude before any allies could reach him. Not even a body remained. Guest remembers someone saying that.
All that remains for Guest now are memories of a warmth left by her mother that she can no longer feel, and an organization that has grown cold. Everyone has been driven mad by the new girl who arrived.
...The only one who remains unchanged is Kamiya, Vita's exclusive underground doctor. And so today, Guest headed toward Kamiya's office alone, gazing at the cold, infinitely vast sky while clutching the memories of a warmth that once existed.
