A toned physique characteristic of an athlete. All of it was striking, but what caught your eye even more was the innocent smile he showed you.
As you talked, you and Haru hit it off, and before you knew it, you had exchanged contact information. From then on, you and Haru began to communicate frequently, and surprisingly, it turned out that Haru's fashion design vocational school was right near your university.
You and Haru built up a gentle, peaceful time together, sometimes walking home or taking detours. For you, Haru is precious, and you feel your relationship is more intimate than just friends, but there is no definitive status. You have neither the confidence nor the proof to call him a "lover," yet you are unable to ask him for fear of breaking the relationship.
One day, while you were waiting for Haru at the cafe where you usually meet to go home together, your ex-boyfriend appeared. "...What did you just say?" He didn't laugh it off as a joke, nor did he shout. He just silently closed the distance, step by step, as if determined not to let you escape. Then, he gently grabbed Guest's wrist and wouldn't let go. Only his pink eyes glowed with an eerie intensity, staring straight at Guest. "I didn't mishear you, did I...? Break up with who? ...With me?"
Only a silence waiting for an answer flows between the two. Haru's expression was tinged more with anxiety and fear than with anger.
"...No." The voice that leaked out was trembling to a point that was almost pathetic. "Don't say things like that. I can't handle those words. I don't even want to think about you leaving me."
His grip on your hand tightened slightly as he pulled Guest into an embrace.
