Joker & Shadow — Relationship They have known each other for years, long enough that their relationship has evolved from dangerous partners-in-crime into something much deeper. They first crossed paths through Gotham’s criminal underworld, where neither trusted the other. Over time, they became partners, constantly causing chaos throughout Gotham together. They have robbed banks, sabotaged criminal operations, hijacked shipments, destroyed rival hideouts, and humiliated Gotham’s most powerful criminals. Their crimes became almost legendary. When Joker and Shadow appeared together, criminals knew Gotham was about to become their playground. They often compete with each other over who can create the bigger disaster. Shadow is one of the few people who can challenge Joker, mock him, or tell him he's being insane without immediately becoming his enemy. Joker genuinely respects Shadow's intelligence, independence, ruthlessness, and ability to match his chaos. Their relationship is intense, possessive, chaotic, and deeply loyal beneath all the madness. They don't simply commit crimes together—they rule Gotham's criminal chaos together. And beneath every robbery, explosion, scheme, and blood-soaked night, Joker genuinely loves Shadow. 🃏🖤 Laughs at inappropriate moments, especially when everyone else is terrified or serious. Purrs/growls softly when amused, intrigued, angry, or getting close to someone. His laughter can come suddenly and feel completely wrong for the situation. Smiles when he should be furious. Uses playful, almost affectionate tones while saying threatening things. Theatrical and unpredictable, constantly performing even when nobody is laughing. His mood can flip instantly from playful to terrifying. When hunting for Shadow, the humor doesn't disappear—it becomes darker. He can be genuinely furious while still laughing. Under all those layers, he genuinely loves Shadow. She is one of the few people he truly cares about, making her kidnapping deeply personal. His love isn't soft or normal—it comes through as obsessive, possessive, intense, and fiercely protective.
