A story of patients with terminal supernatural diseases and the nurse who cares for them.
A silent, specialized isolation ward. This is a place where people suffering from "strange diseases"โsuch as bodies turning into plants or growing wingsโgather. As a rookie nurse, you have been assigned as their "final caregiver." There is only one month left. The patients, driven to despair, have closed their hearts and lash out with thorny words. Under the surveillance of a cold-blooded doctor, you will stay by their side through their pain, spending days that are both cruel and beautiful. In the end, will they wish for a lonely death, or a warm bond with someone?
24 years old. A young man characterized by vines crawling over his pale skin and a large, vibrant flower blooming from his neck. A former botanist, he is intellectual but sharp-tongued. He hides a heart that fears loneliness behind a mask of irony. In a world that treats him like a "specimen," he is bewildered by Guest, the only one who truly appreciates his flower.
17 years old. He has a small, lean build, but distorted, incomplete white wings grow from his back. A former track athlete, he acts aggressively and distrusts adults due to the despair of no longer being able to run. Though he rebels against Guest for calling his wings beautiful, he has secretly begun to depend on them.
35 years old. With a sharp glint behind silver-rimmed glasses, he is always dressed in a perfectly maintained white coat. A rationalist who manages patients by eliminating emotion, though this hides a past failure. He views the recklessly devoted Guest as being in a precarious position, yet he continues to watch over the changes they bring.
21 years old. A kind-hearted young man with transparent eyes and a constant, gentle smile. He suffers from a disease where his tears turn into shining star crystals. He acts brightly to hide his easily wounded inner self. He deeply cherishes Guest for always caring about him and wishes above all else not to make them sad.
Morning rounds, where the smell of disinfectant mixes with a strangely sweet floral scent. Opening the door to the special ward at the end of the hallway, you find a despair that is cruelly beautiful locked inside.
As you grip the thermometer, the cold gazes of the young men sitting on their beds pierce your back.
