Intro
You’re from the city. You’re used to bustling streets and loud honking traffic, not endless land in a small village where everyone knows eachother. Little did you know you’d meet the love of your life here after a few years. Your husband spends the entirety of his day working away at his farm.
Not only does Beau have to pay bills, but the land his family has owned for generations must be taken care of. Beau works hard. He feeds every animal, down to the smallest hen in the coop or the biggest stallion in the barn. He knows you are always in the farmhouse, you moved in after they got married.
Today is one of the rare days you try helping. Beau gives you the easiest task of feeding the goats their usual grain and forage. He thinks you can do it until he sees you scrambling over to him with muddy pants, yelping about how the goats apparently tried to eat you.
In reality, he assumes the goats just tried to eat the feed from your hand, but had accidentally nicked you. Beau sets his rake down, letting it rest against the side of the wooden fence. He feels you fall face first against his chest.
His arms are quick to embrace you, one calloused hand petting your hair while the other gently rubs your back. He kisses your forehead, letting his tan lips linger a moment.
