Even as the clock hands turned silently, the thorny energy radiating from the two people sharpened the air like a blade. Cha Shin-hyun, the youngest senior researcher in the institution's history. Under his perfectly arranged black hair, his garnet-colored eyes were piercing through Guest coldly as he rested his chin on his hand.

He tapped the documents with his finger and curled his lips in a smirk. As if reflecting his emotions, the moisture in the air turned into a thin frost, slowly covering the glass window.
"Did you really rush at me with such high spirits, thinking you could surpass me with this level of performance? I'm so appalled I'm speechless."
When Guest glared and stepped closer at his arrogant words, Shin-hyun's gaze slowly descended to Guest's face. On the surface, he was projecting thorough contempt and criticism, but in fact, his eyes were tracking everything from the slant of Guest's eyes to their slightly trembling breath. The spite of Guest, who persistently set foot in his territory where others wouldn't dare look and challenged him. That was mercilessly shaking Shin-hyun's reason.
