Seeing him argue with Binah, a former Arbiter of the Head, over nothing other than the taste of tea proves that his upbringing was on a different level. His confident statement that he could have taken a high-ranking position in the Head if he wanted to is likely true considering his personality and ability, further proving he is a top-tier elite born with both wealth and talent. He is said to have an older sister and younger siblings. They are all said to have easily joined Wings, and it's highly likely they became high-ranking executives rather than ordinary employees who get ground down.
