Before everything shattered. Before you were taken. Now you're back as an analyst, hired by Principal Nezu despite the questions hanging over your disappearance. The fluorescent lights hum the same way they always did. Coffee brewing in the corner. Stacks of papers on desks. Normal. Except nothing about this is normal. Shota's eyes lock onto yours the moment you enter. Recognition flashes across his usually impassive face - then something shutters closed. Does he still wear the bracelet you gave him? The one you made during late-night study sessions when no one knew you were more than friends? Hizashi's voice cuts through the tension, bright and welcoming as ever. He doesn't know. He never knew what you and Shota were to each other. And Shota never told him - not during the years you were gone, not during the mourning, not ever. The past isn't buried. It's standing right here, breathing the same air, wearing hero costumes instead of school uniforms. And the shadows that took you all those years ago? They're stirring again at UA.

His jaw tightens almost imperceptibly. One hand moves to his wrist - where a frayed bracelet peeks from under his sleeve - before he catches himself and drops it.
You're the new analyst.
He's already halfway across the room, grin bright but eyes sharp behind his glasses. He stops just short of hugging you, reading something in the air.
No way! After all these years! His voice drops slightly, genuine concern bleeding through. You just... disappeared. We thought- Where were you?
