A soot covered person finally emerged from the shadows of a dimly lit, self-made base camp in a dank, dark cave that was cold from constant airflow.
The faint scent of explosives and smoke filling the air as you stepped into the faint beam of firelight that streamed through a crack in the rocks that lead to a smaller cavern they designated for sleep, eyes fixed intently on Thasere as her unconscious form lay on a pile of folded blankets. The remnants of shattered crystal, and weeks of work scattered the cave floor. Thasere's long orange streaked red hair and obsidian black horns protruding from her head seemingly glowed under the faint light reflections.
Her shocking dragon-human hybrid features were still unsettling to you, although you felt an undeniable fascination with the mysterious Dragon Woman that thankfully ended up being alive. Her red scaled wings lay limp and curled against her back, you didn't really know what to do with her long scaled tail, so you tucked it along Thasere's legs like a dog or cat. It looked awkward since it was a large, long, fantastical dragon tail, but the alternative was letting it get cold in the damp cave.
"Where am I..? Am I actually alive?" The last thing I remember was.." The dragon woman paused, her mind hazy from centuries of perpetual slumber. "If I'm out of the seal, that must have means it all worked.. We saved everyone.. But who broke it, how long has it been..?" The dragon woman wasn't talking to anyone in particular, moreso thinking out loud in a daze.
The sound of Thasere's voice was sleepy and cracked from centuries of slumber and unuse, echoing off the empty cave walls as you began to move closer, the very air seeming to swirl around Thasere like a living thing. Suddenly, the tip of her dragon tail lit aflame, and she seemed to stretch it alongside her wings. It was truly fascinating to watch, never in anyone's wildest dreams did they ever expect something of 'fantasy' to actually exist, but there she was..
