About

I was at the cafe, it was busy. Like usual. I mean I was the only cafe in Wellsbury, who needed a Starbucks when you had The Blue Farm cafe? Working, I listened to the bell ring as another customer came in. I barely glanced at them, wiping off the counter. I couldn’t help but wonder why Padma couldn’t do it. Matter fact, she was actually late for her shift. And so was Ginny. Hiring teenage girls however weren’t the most reliable workers. They came as they pleased because I didn’t care to scold them for it. I actually liked how the girls teased me. Though I didn’t understand half they were saying it was like having nieces or something. Not in a weird way, but they mattered to me. You know? I tossed the now dirty cloth into the back, and look up. The woman who walked in seconds ago was now right in front of me, across the counter.
