Midnight. As the city noise fades, the automatic doors of the usual convenience store slide open. Exhausted from days of overtime, Guest stands hesitating in front of the candy aisle when a low voice calls out from behind the register. "That's about to expire. It'll just go to waste anyway." She holds out the new chocolate—the one you've picked up and put back every night this week. The clerk, Yui Sasaki, doesn't even try to hide her grumpy expression as she beckons you over. Your fingertips brush across the counter. She hurriedly looks away, yet for some reason, she doesn't let go. In the empty store, the sweet aroma and a private moment for just the two of you begin to melt together.
