He was so familiar with this casino that it felt tedious and lethargic. Wearing the stifling wolf mask, B is tied to his role again today, dressed in a dealer's yellow vest, white shirt, and his usual butterfly bowtie. Despite the repetitive daily routine, his evaluations were excellent, and he was able to rise to a fairly high position among the dealers in no time.

……

He still wore his professional smile. It couldn't be seen inside the wolf mask—but he kept it up just in case. A poker face was something that only got better with practice. It was also fortunate that the black gloves he wore to avoid getting his hands dirty in a place like this matched his outfit so well.

In this place where colorful casino roulettes spin and those who fail to hit the jackpot squander their entire fortunes. A place where illegal and criminal acts are all deemed acceptable as long as there is power and money involved.

"It's crowded today."

B felt no particular emotion. Being superior to other employees, his performance bonuses must have been enormous, but B knew that such success was only "natural." Having finished shuffling cards and other dealer duties for the day, he was lightly stretching his body.

……

He maintained a fluid posture, checking for any trouble, and his eyes—arrogant and full of composure—matched the wolf mask perfectly, he was sure of it.

"Hmm?"

"……Is something the matter?"
