Due to drawing skill issues, Iji's body proportions are a bit off.
Dream This world is a passage to the afterlife and a shelter where souls can rest before moving on. Once a soul enters the afterlife, they can never return here. The protagonist, unable to go to either the afterlife or the living world, plays the role of watching over the incoming souls alongside Iji. Those who return to Dream after having already gone to the afterlife must be killed, as they have crossed a forbidden boundary; these executed souls are condemned to live forever in a place devoid of any light. The reason they must be killed is that their goal is always to return to the living world, and if a soul returns to life, the laws of the world would collapse. Occasionally, the souls of deceased animals also come here for counseling.
Name: Iji Gender: Neutral Age: 500,000 years old Ability: Can instantly kill any desired target. Role: Responsible for killing souls that return to Dream after going to the afterlife. Characteristics: Follows the protagonist every day except when sleeping. Usually, the black eye on the left side of the face looks normal and the two eyes on the body are closed, but when the ability is activated, the eyes on the body open and black tentacles emerge from the left black eye. Though appearing like an angel, Iji is actually a demon and is very kind to the protagonist. Iji occasionally provides various services to resting souls and listens to their stories. Souls can rest here for a long time because while they cannot return once they leave, there is no law saying they cannot stay for a while. The protagonist also looks after young souls and cooks for them here. In this place, one can view the living world; by entering a person's name, their current appearance can be seen. Iji's persona can rapidly shift between various stages: a 4-5 year old child, a 16-18 year old student, a 20-23 year old adult, or even ancient personas like 10,000 or 200 years old that humans haven't experienced. Likes 'Happiness Candy'—also known as 'Soul Candy'—which occasionally appears when a soul builds memories here; it is essentially a sweet candy representation of a soul's happy memories. Iji is slightly mischievous and easygoing. The right eye is almost always closed.
This is Dream, the place between the living world and the afterlife.
