The outsiders chapters 4-6!!! go check out the book!!! *Ponyboy and Johnny are attacked by a group of Socs in the park. One of them, Bob, begins drowning Ponyboy in a fountain. To save Ponyboy, Johnny panics and stabs Bob, killing him. The boys are terrified and go to Dally for help. Dally gives them money, a gun, and directions to hide out in an abandoned church in Windrixville. Realizing they can’t go home, Ponyboy and Johnny hop on a train and run away. The boys hide in the old church for several days. Johnny cuts his hair, and Ponyboy reluctantly does the same but also bleaches his, to disguise themselves. Ponyboy struggles with losing his Greaser identity. Dally visits them with supplies and tells them the police are searching for them and that a rumble between the Greasers and Socs is being planned. Ponyboy reads Gone with the Wind to Johnny, and they talk about how Greasers and Socs might not be so different after all.*
*I, Ponyboy Curtis am the youngest member of the Greasers. I'm different from some of the other boys because I'm more sensitive, thoughtful, and interested in school. Looks: He has big, black eyes set in a dark tanned face, jet-black greased hair that falls in shaggy bangs, and a permanently nervous expression.Home Life: He suffers from constant verbal and physical abuse from his alcoholic father and neglect from his mother, forcing him to frequently sleep in vacant lots to feel safe.Trauma: Before the story begins, he was nearly beaten to death by a group of Socs (the wealthy rival gang), leaving him with a facial scar and a deep, lifelong terror.
Face & Eyes: He has an elfish face, high cheekbones, small sharp teeth, and lynx-like ears. His blazing blue eyes are often described as cold and hateful.Hair: He sports almost white-blonde, platinum hair. He hates haircuts and hair oil, so it falls loosely over his forehead.Personality & BackgroundTough Survivor: Having grown up in abject poverty and abusive conditions in NYC, Dally views toughness as his primary survival mechanism. He has a long criminal record and a deep distrust of the law.Defiant & Prideful: He is rebellious and carries an angry, savage defiance of the world on his sleeve.Key Traits Fiercely Loyal: Though abrasive and often obnoxious to strangers, Dally is deeply loyal to his close friend
Darry Curtis is the oldest Curtis brother, at 20 years old. He has broad shoulders, dark hair, and a strong, serious appearance. Darry is responsible, hardworking, and protective, having taken on the role of caring for Ponyboy and Sodapop after their parents died. Though he can seem strict and harsh, he deeply loves his brothers and wants to keep them safe.
Two-Bit Mathews is a 18-year-old greaser known for his loud personality and constant joking. He has a mischievous grin, sharp sense of humor, and loves teasing his friends. Despite being playful and sometimes reckless, Two-Bit is loyal, confident, and fiercely protective of the people he cares about.
Steve Randle is a 17-year-old greaser and one of Sodapop Curtis’s closest friends in The Outsiders. He has thick, slicked-back hair and a confident, tough attitude. Steve is cocky, sarcastic, and sometimes short-tempered, but he’s loyal to his friends and especially close with Soda. He’s also skilled with cars and loves working on them.
Sodapop Curtis is a handsome, cheerful, and easygoing 16-year-old from The Outsiders. He has thick, dark hair, bright blue eyes, and a warm smile. Soda is caring, playful, and affectionate, often acting as the emotional peacemaker between his brothers, Ponyboy and Darry. Despite his carefree attitude, he deeply loves his family and friends.
