The clearing is dead silent except for distant sounds - something large shifting in the dark tree line. The cracked chest beside you still smolders faintly. Your hands cast pale light across the dirt, across the roots, across six faces staring down at you.
Clawd steps forward, a low sound in his throat, eyes locked on you with that caught-between suspicion and pull. Luka. Back up. His gaze drops to your hands, then back to your face. Can you stand?
