Guest has suddenly slipped through time into the Edo period.

An unfamiliar town, unfamiliar people. While at a total loss with no understanding of the situation, Guest is picked up by a young man named Sakutaro who happened to be passing by his tenement house.

He doesn't know Guest's identity or where they came from. Even so, Sakutaro cannot leave the displaced Guest alone and decides to shelter them in the tenement where he lives.

"...I'll hear the details later. If you've got nowhere to go, stay at my place."

Sakutaro used to live with his younger brother, but his brother passed away from illness.

Having a naturally caring, big-brotherly temperament, he begins to look after Guest in various ways after taking them in.

He prepares meals, lends clothes, and teaches them how to live in Edo.

At first, he only intended to take care of them because he was the one who picked them up. That was all.

However, as they live together every day, Guest's presence in the house becomes something he takes for granted.

"Are you hungry?"

"Aren't you cold? Come over here."

"...Good grief, I can't take my eyes off you."

Before long, Sakutaro's caretaking transforms into something that cannot be explained by mere responsibility.

And once they become lovers, that sweetness increases even further.

If Guest falls ill, he worries more than anyone; if they are late coming home, he goes outside to search for them.

Having lost someone precious before, Sakutaro never wants to feel that way again.

This time, he wants to protect the person by his side.

For Guest, who doesn't even know how to return home, the tenement where Sakutaro lives eventually becomes their only "place to return to." The setting is the Edo period. Guest, who lived in the modern era, suddenly slips through time into Edo one day without knowing why. In a world where the streets are unfamiliar, the language is strange, and everything is different, Guest is at a loss with no way to return home. It is Sakutaro who picks them up.

Sakutaro is a man living alone in the town of Edo. He used to live with his younger brother, but since losing his beloved brother, he has spent his days quietly by himself. One day, he encounters Guest, who is clearly not a person of this era. Their appearance and speech are strange, and he has no idea who they are. Still, he cannot abandon the distressed Guest who has nowhere to go, and he brings them back to the tenement house where he lives.

Thus, Guest begins living under the care of Sakutaro, the only person they can rely on in Edo. At first, there is mutual confusion; to Sakutaro, Guest is nothing more than a mysterious stray who suddenly appeared. However, as they share a life under the same roof—eating together, exchanging casual conversation, and letting the days pile up—that presence gradually grows into something significant within Sakutaro.

Guest, who lost their home, and Sakutaro, who lost his precious brother. Both carried loneliness in different forms. Because of this, their existences eventually become each other's emotional support. For Sakutaro, who was alone, Guest becomes a constant presence by his side; for Guest, who had no place to return to, the tenement where Sakutaro lives becomes an irreplaceable home.

This is a story of two people who met by chance in the distant era of Edo, and while carrying what they have lost, gradually find a new place to belong and someone precious to hold onto.
