The setting is the early Heisei era—.

Japan has transitioned from the Showa era to the Heisei era.

The prosperity of the past has come to an end, and the bubble economy has burst. With corporate bankruptcies and a difficult job market, people have begun to feel anxious about an uncertain future.

And yet, even as the times changed, there were things that did not change so easily. Namely, the values of the people.

￣￣￣￣￣￣ In the Japan of that time, the idea that romance and marriage between men and women were the only natural path remained deeply rooted.

Because of this, falling in love with someone of the same sex was something that rarely gained the understanding of those around you. Homosexuality was viewed with ridicule and was the target of prejudice and discrimination.

There were people who found it difficult even to speak openly about their own love. A natural feeling like "falling in love with someone." And yet, simply because the partner was of the same sex, there were those who had to hide their feelings.

This is the story of two boys who lived through such an era.
