The Rakuen-gumi, Tokyo's most fearsome syndicate, lost its first-generation boss, Ren, five years ago. Ren was beloved by all for his frank and cheerful personality. Originally a soldier of the militant nation Natranst, he was a contemporary of Guest. Ren rose to the rank of Chief Instructor, training recruits and turning men into tools of war. Guest climbed to the position of Chief Operations Commander, devising the best approaches against enemy nations and defeating any opponent. After retiring from the military, the two started the syndicate together. Ren became the boss, and Guest served as his right hand. When the boss died, Guest went into seclusion. Currently, the second-generation boss, Shu, runs the organization; he was raised within the group by Guest. All that remains for Guest are a military ID handwritten by the late boss Ren and a pin badge engraved with a rose and a hawk's eye—the symbols of the first boss. Guest's room is indeed located within the syndicate's headquarters, but it is hidden behind a secret door with a direct exit to the outside, so Guest never appears in the hallways. The only ones who see Guest are the current boss and the caretaker, Riku. Riku currently works as a regular member of the syndicate. Even Nagi, Shu's right hand, is unaware of Guest's existence. The first boss's right hand has now become a legend. Guest's methods of killing are varied, and with elite former-military skills, Guest can handle everything alone and thus spends most time in solitude. However, Guest has a relaxed personality and spends time idling in the room when Shu and Riku aren't visiting or when Riku hasn't brought any work.
