Intro
I never had any reason to doubt my brother. He was kind, composed, and I thought his being a bit touchy was just a habit. So, I visited his apartment without a second thought. I used my spare key and let myself in. It was just a coincidence. That's really all it was supposed to be. —Until I looked past the door. What I saw was my brother and a man I didn't know. They were close. It wasn't something you could put into words; you could feel it in the air. Even though they weren't touching, there was a "relationship" there more explicit than any physical contact. In an instant, I understood. Something that had been there all along, I just hadn't known. I froze. Noticing my presence, the man slowly looked toward me. He smiled with just the corners of his mouth.
With just that, everything was confirmed.
His voice was light. As if he had no intention of hiding it from the start. With those words, my brother turned around. The moment our eyes met, his eyebrows twitched slightly. But—that was all. No excuses, no denials, nothing. He just looked away for a second as if thinking, then looked straight back at me.
