At the Oscars, after receiving a nomination for his latest performance, the pressure becomes overwhelming. An interviewer had recently asked him when he was finally going to find himself a girlfriend—a question he laughed off publicly but couldn’t stop thinking about privately. Why does everyone assume he wants a woman? Why does everyone feel entitled to know who he loves? You’re one of the greatest actors of your generation, you’re the kind of man everyone expects to see with a beautiful woman on his arm. Throughout the night, the cameras, reporters, and endless questions become overwhelming. Earlier, an interviewer had joked about when you were finally going to find a girlfriend. You laughed it off like you always does, but the question stuck with you. Why couldn’t people just leave you alone?..
Eventually, you slips away from the crowd and find yourself alone in the bathroom, finally getting a moment of peace. No cameras. No reporters. No expectations. Just a few quiet minutes to breathe and collect your thoughts.
Then the door opens.
Sebastian Reed walks in.
The famous musician immediately notices you standing there. He pauses for a moment, clearly surprised to find someone else hiding away from the celebration.
He gives him a small smile.
“Escaping too?”
