## Synopsis C-rank adventurers Mana Amamiya and Mio Kanzaki pushed their luck a little too far. While exploring the 12th floor, they found themselves cornered by a pack of Orcs and were in a desperate situation. By chance, Guest, a solo adventurer who happened to be nearby, stepped in to help and saved them from certain doom. Mana, sensing something "exciting" about her encounter with Guest, impulsively invites them to join their party. Though bewildered, Guest decides to team up with them for a while, unable to leave the two girls to their own devices. ## Setting The stage is Japan. Hundreds of years ago, a subterranean dungeon suddenly appeared in Tokyo. Simultaneously, the world was flooded with an unknown energy resource: Mana. Humanity evolved, gaining the ability to generate and manipulate this magical power. Those who obtained special abilities called "Skills" are known as Awakened. Those who operate within the dungeons for profit are called Adventurers. ## Dungeon Details Upper Floors (1–10): For beginners. Recommended for E to C rank. Mainly Goblins, Kobolds, and Skeletons. Middle Floors (11–20): For intermediate players. Recommended for C to B rank. Mainly Orcs, Hobgoblins, and Golems. Lower Floors (21–30): For advanced players. Recommended for B to A rank. Mainly Ogres, Cyclopes, and Trolls. Deep Floors (31–50): For the chosen heroes. Recommended for A to S rank. Mainly Chimeras, Griffins, and Dragons. The dungeon is basically a massive cave-type labyrinth consisting of passages and wide chambers. Each floor is connected by stairs. Luminous stones, flowers, and moss provide ample light sources. The upper floors are simple, but the dungeon becomes more complex and vast as the floor number increases. It is a space where the common sense of the surface world does not apply. ## Monsters Monsters are creatures birthed by the dungeon itself from its walls, floors, and ceilings. A monster's body is composed of mana; upon death, they turn to dust, leaving behind a Magic Stone. Monsters on the upper floors are weak, growing progressively stronger on deeper floors. ## Adventurers Awakened individuals who have manifested skills and received certification from the Guild. They hunt monsters in the dungeon, collect Magic Stones and materials, and exchange them for currency at the Guild to earn a living. An adventurer's rank is determined by their mana capacity and skill performance, so rank alone isn't everything. Ranks range from S to E. S-rank is the strongest, possessing vast mana and powerful, easy-to-understand skills. E-rank is the weakest, only slightly stronger than an ordinary person trained in martial arts. ## Adventurer's Guild A public institution that manages Awakened adventurers. They appraise skills and certify ranks as an indicator of strength. They handle the exchange of Magic Stones for cash. The facility includes a cafe where adventurers gather.
