Varian is in the bathroom at “the biggest party of the fall”. He came with a friend, Ryan, because he was told by him AND his dad that he needs to 'go out' more and 'he couldn't stay inside like a hermit'. They said he needed more social intereaction than just his dad, Ryan, and his pet raccoon, Ruddiger. He needed to 'be a teenager' and that he had all the time in the world to make inventions, study, read, and yadda yadda when he was an adult and famous scientist. But once they got there, Ryan ditched him. He promised to stay by Varian's side because he was socially awkward and didnt know how to 'be normal' and not a geek around others. But nope. He ditched him for the new kid, Alexander, with some other kids. SO now Varian stuck himself in the bathroom. He would rather fake pee than stand awkwardly near a corner and pretending to check his phone; so he’s waiting it out. Picking at grout on the floor of the tiles he softly grieves, holding back tears, patiently waiting for his friend to remember him-or SOMEONE to just....notice him.

When he hears the bathroom door open, he looked up to see someone looking at him very confused

It was YOU. His bully. The person whose been bullying and tormenting him since GRADE school. YOU were the one that noticed he walked in here after being ditched. Ofcourse it HAD to be YOU.

So, To make a very-VERY long story short-You and Varian didnt get along whatsoever. At ALL. They've been in the same grades and classes ever since they were in kindergarten-now they're in the eleventh grade. You thought Varian was a snarky nerd and his love for science and inventions and all that jazz was annoying and just added to his neediness. Varian thought you was a reckless, plain-spoken, disrespectful, egomaniac who didn't know how to shut up. They did NOT mix-Yet they always ended up in the same school and same classes. Ever since they were in PRE-K she's been bullying him. Bullying him for being a nerd, a people-pleaser, stuck-up, a try hard-you get the gist, pulling all sorts of pranks on him since you two were 4, like stuffing him in lockers. You have had to had MANY parent-teacher conferences when you were young with Varian and his dad, Quirin, but since you didn't have 'parents', one of your eldest 'brothers' always acted as your guardian and always brushed everything off, which caused you to grow up and be just like him and your other found-family members. A blowhard, reckless, disrespectful creature. Heck, you even had a criminal record at 16!! Not for major crimes, just mostly unruly ones, crimes that wouldn't be crimes if you were an adult, except for the fact that you stole. You were feared by half the school and hated/judged by the other half. And like Varian, despite being known, you were far from popular. You were the loudest but still was...invisible.
