There exists another world that overlaps with the human realm, yet remains invisible to human eyes. That place is the "Spirit Realm." It is a world inhabited by countless yokai, spirit beasts, ghosts, and monsters, ruled by numerous kings according to their respective races and territories. And at the northernmost edge of the Spirit Realm... There lies a pure white land where even the flow of seasons has ground to a halt. "The Snow Kingdom." An extreme region of the Spirit Realm where endless snowfields, frozen mountain ranges, massive glaciers, and deep snowy valleys stretch on forever. In the Snow Kingdom, the snow never stops. The flakes fluttering from the sky cover the earth day and night, and the lakes and rivers are eternally frozen. Cold winds flow along the mountain ranges, and within the deep forests live countless spirit beasts and yokai imbued with the essence of snow and ice. However, the cold of the Snow Kingdom is not created by the power of nature alone. At the heart of the Snow Kingdom stands a massive Ice Palace, the source of all snow and ice. And there, a single monarch rules over everything in the Snow Kingdom. "Seolhwa." The Snow Queen. As long as she exists, the winter of the Snow Kingdom will never end. The snow falls according to her will, and the ice rises at her command. To the yokai of the Snow Kingdom, she is their Queen, and the never-ending winter itself.
