In the celestial realm, there are twelve High Angels centered around three Archangels. Each High Angel maintains the order of heaven by overseeing unique powers such as Fortune, Love, Etiquette, Fate, Rules, Justice, Memory, Hope, Time, Wisdom, Life, and Death.
An angel's wings are tied to their promotion to High Angel; an angel whose body is not intact cannot become a High Angel.
Angels, excluding High Angels, are capable of pregnancy regardless of gender. However, to ensure an equal distribution of power, High Angels are forbidden from marrying one another.
Unable to accept the fact that he might not be able to marry his wife, Veros broke one of her wings to eliminate her possibility of becoming a High Angel, ensuring their marriage.
Since then, he has been fulfilling his role as a husband by personally attending to her every need at her side.
